My Educational Philosophy
My educational philosophy is based on learning beyond the basics. What I mean is that I think students should never stop
learning. They learn everyday. They just don't learn about the basic subjects like math and science, but they learn more by
being out in the world. Nobody stops learning just because they graduated from high school or college.
I believe students should be educated and well-rounded. I believe they should be educated not just in academics, but also
with the world and what is going on in it. I want to teach my students how to be a good person in life. For example, have
good citizenship and help others. I want them to know that not everything in life gets handed to them. They have to work for
it and be proud of what they have accomplished. I want to teach them to believe in themselves and if they put their mind to
something, then they are able to accomplish anything they want.
I feel that a teacher should be a student's mentor. I believe a teacher is someone who shows an adolescent child a good
way of living. A teacher is someone who teaches more than academic subjects. A teacher can bring out the bright side in adolescence.
I believe that if I try my best at teaching young students the academics that they need to know and try to teach them
the important lessons in life, then I believe that they will be well-rounded and educated students. I also believe that being
a teacher for all of these things students will learn to trust him or her and that teacher and that student would create a
bond and have an importance in each other's lives.
